31 colonels promoted as brigadiers

Thirty-one senior colonels of the Army have been promoted to the rank of brigadier by President Maithripala Sirisena.

Accordingly, the promoted colonels were: C.D Ranasinghe, K.G.M.S Fernando, S.P.A.I.M.B Samarakoon, H.M.H.N Herath, S.N.A Dissanayaka, W.M.R.W.W.H.J.B Wanigasekera, K.P.S Silva, W.B.W.M.R.S.P Aluwihare, E.A.D.P Edirisingha,U.P.R Weerakoon, K.A Samarasiri, N.P.A Gunawardena, L.C.R Jayasuriya, K.P.S.A Fernando, R.B Benjamin, S.R.B Aluvihare, W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara, B.K.G.M.L Rodrigo, A.M Muttalib, M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe, I.H.M.T.H Senaratne, M.K.U.P Gunaratne, S.W.M Fernando, K.A.W.S Ratnayake, K.A.A Udaya Kumara, L.P.K.C Wijetunge, D.P Jayasinghe, E.A.P Ediriweera, R.W Ponnamperuma, A.S Wickramasena and D.L.S.U de Silva.
