Twenty-two university students including the convenor of the Inter-University Students' Federation (IUSF) Ven. Rathkarawwe Jinarathana Thera were further remanded till March 16 by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court today.
They were arrested for protesting outside the University Grants Commission (UGC) and were remanded till today by Colombo Additional Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali.
They were arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police for violating a court order.(Yoshitha Perera and Farook Thajudeen)
