Don't blame the buses, blame the Driver. The news item clearly states the accident happened due to the negligence of the driver.

Pure negligence of drivers are the prime cause for accidents. Driving drunk, or chewing drugs, using mobile phones should be stopped immediately. Innocent passengers have to pay the price for the driver's negligence

Accidents are caused, they don't happen. It's not the machine but the man behind it.

IT IS TRAGIC THAT WE STILL ALLOW NEGLIGENT DRIVERS TO CONTINUE DRIVING WITHOUT CANCELLING THEIR DRIVING LICENSES.

Monaragala Badulla at Passara is one of the most dangerous roads in Sri Lanka I dreaded to go this road when I was serving as DIG / UVA..The Politicians from 1948 did nothing to build up this beautiful country other than blaming the Britishers. What a disgraceful lot we have in this country. Keep counting the dead till you lose this country.the death toll now is 13. Bring the dead bodies to Parliament and exhibit it to show the good work done from 1948 the year of our independence.Very Tragic.

IF TRAFFIC POLICE FOLLOW THEM WITH CIVIL DRESS AND PRIVATE MOTOR BIKE YOU ALL CAN SEE THEM. OUT OF CONTROL DRIVERS. ONE FOOT ENOUGH THEM FOR OVERTAKE ANY SIDE. UNBELIEVABLE.

Don’t blame the driver either. He is not there to defend as well as he has to meet tight time schedules

    Kn Saturday, 20 March 2021 09:54 AM

NOT FAULT AT DRIVERS. OWNER OF BUSES. OWNERS REQUIRE MONEY ONLY. NONE OF OWNER NOT DRIVING LICENSE. AGE. EXPERIENCE AND ALSO HIS BEHAVIOR.

    Hiruni Saturday, 20 March 2021 10:31 AM

That’s what happens when a three wheel driver becomes a bus driver.

I hope Gemunu Wijeratne and his cohorts will do something to educate and discipline these murderous drivers at least now

The damn bus driver was unable to bring his bus to a halt. Incompetence. These are old buses. Cancel their licences and dump them in the sea.

Look at ghe video...This was no fault of the driver ...innocent man whose life was snatched due to.negligence of authorities. It is clear that rounding a bend he realised there was another truck in his path and he swerved to avoid hitting it. Unfirtunately and sadly...the earth slip that has caused the other vehicle to change lanes had also eroded the road which gave way under the bus and it plunged into the ravine. Dont slander the dead driver ...you do noy know he was reckless...the video does not show that. What it shows is there were no road digns warning of earth slips...THERE WAS NO WARNING SIGN OR.BARRICADE WHERE THE ROAD HAD BEEN WASHED AWAY There was no road sign for single lane traffic or slower traffiic. In any other country worth its name there would have been Road Marshals directing traffic around earth slips and such narrow winding roads. Poor innocent driver not allowed to rest in peace. And not here to defend his name.
