Criminal Investigation Department officers arrested twelve Sri Lankan nationals last morning while they were attempting to travel to Canada with forged visa.
The suspects aged between 21 and 55 with five women and seven men arrested at the airport departure lounge. They were residents of Kiribathgoda, Nugegoda, Mawanella, Alawathugoda, Kegalle and Polgahawela areas.
The suspects were produced to the Negombo Magistrate yesterday. Eleven of them were released on bail. One woman was ordered to be remanded till September 29 for organising the illegal attempt. (T.K.G. Kapila)

Airport is closed due to Covid-19 for the Sri Lankans to return home but opened for those want to travel with forged visa. It only shows that Sri Lanka is great
