Intel Sri Lanka to showcase NUC at Colombo Book Fair

Intel Sri Lanka will feature one of Intel’s ground-breaking products, the Intel Next Unit of Computing (NUC) at the upcoming Colombo International Book Fair which will be held from 18th to 27th September 2015.

Visitors can experience the simplicity and versatility of a fully-functioning personal computer that fits in the palm of hand at the stall of Genius Associates (Pvt) Ltd, a partner of Intel Sri Lanka.

The Intel NUC comes in two forms: the board and the kit. It includes a highly customizable four-by-four-inch board that is ready to accept the memory, hard drive, and operating system you choose to install. The four-by-four-inch Intel NUC board comes complete with a soldered-on processor. The board can be purchased independently of the kit, giving you the flexibility to choose the chassis that best suits your needs.

The latest NUC is equipped with the 5th generation processor with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.01 which gives extra GHz on demand to let users maximize performance on processor-intensive tasks. The system has room for either a 2.5” HDD which gives a greater storage capacity or an M.2 SSD so that transferring of data at high speed is quite possible. A replaceable lid gives users plenty of options to create the Intel NUC they want with style and features. It also features Intel HD Graphics 6000 with 4K display capabilities to provide visually stunning graphics. This small unit can be powered by a car battery, truly demonstrating the NUC’s reduced power consumption. The technology that has been used in this unit is similar to the technology used in laptops and Ultrabooks so a user can positively expect high-performance from a NUC with lower power consumption and high productivity. A high-speed USB 3.0 charging port lets users easily charge their tablet or smartphone quickly. Complete with WiFi 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth, and 7.1 surround sound; the Intel NUC is ideal for any environment.
