Huawei’s P8 second shipment enters Sri Lanka

Huawei, the fastest growing smartphone in Sri Lanka, announced the commencement of the second round pre-ordering in Sri Lanka for the flagship smartphone P8.

Huawei also stated that the first round stocks are now completely sold out and as a result of continuous pre-booking of the product by potential customers, the company has decided to market the second shipment of the most affordable high-end smartphone in the present market.

According to the Consumer Business Group performance in 1H 2015, over one million units of Huawei P8 have been sold in the first two months since the launch with availability in over 52 markets including China, France, Spain and Italy.

Huawei Device Sri Lanka Country Head Henry Liu said, “We are excited how quickly the local market embraced the new Huawei P8 flagship smartphone in Sri Lanka. More than a smartphone, the P8 strikes a perfect balance between beauty, minimalist aesthetics and usability. P8 represents the people, thought, spirit and culture behind its creation. It’s not only a mobile phone but also contains the ethos of the humanities, a classical spirit and a rich cultural heritage.”
The Huawei P8 is priced at Rs.69,999 and will only be available at Singer Plus Ward Place and Millagiriya, Singer Digital Liberty Plaza, Singer Mega Kandy City Centre, Iru Cellular Anuradhapura, Toyto Trading and Champa Stores in Kandy, Mobile Vision and Dharshana Enterprises Galle, Sithru Mobile - Matara, The Phone Arcade-Brand Shop - Kalutara, Orient Mobile - Horana, Qtel and Phone 4 u - Liberty Plaza, Phonez - Majestic City, Huawei Brand Shop-Majestic City Lobby, Premium - Mt. Lavinia, TCC Colombo and Lanka Bell WTC Lobby. Customers also can pre-book the device through the Huawei Sri Lanka Facebook page. Huawei has also organised some exciting and free giveaways in the calibre of power banks, selfie sticks, bluetooth speakers and merchandise.

The phone comes with four elegant colour options: silver, gold, black and grey. The design details of the Huawei P8 evoke the pages, bindings and hardcovers of traditional books. The one-piece aluminum body with the diamond shape blasting craftsmanship highlights the texture of the metal.

The phone is 6.4mm thin, with dual SIM cards and works seamlessly with a 4G network as well. The Huawei P8 has a revolutionary touch screen experience that is innate to consumers. Double-tapping a knuckle captures a full-length screen shot, while drawing a circle on the screen quickly captures content.
Additionally, the ‘search phone by voice’ function allows users to call out to their misplaced smartphone, which will respond through its speaker to identify.
