Huawei is set to launch two new-entry range smartphones in Sri Lanka, company sources revealed.
The devices are believed to be targeted at the highly competitive entry-range smartphone market in the country. According to company sources, the devices would be under the much successful Huawei ‘Y-series’ smartphones and will be available in black, gold, white in Sri Lanka.
From the information we were able to garner, the two smartphones are for those who are looking for a better camera experience with very high speed connectivity for an affordable price. Both smartphones come with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage with expandable storage support. According to the company listing, both the new Huawei handsets will come in two variants - 3G and 4G - featuring different chipsets.
A company spokesperson who remained to be anonymous when contacted for a statement regarding the same said, “The two products both targeted at the entry level market will be revealed pretty soon, in fact in mid June. Without a doubt it will be attractive and affordable for anyone who is hunting for better performance and fed up with traditional smartphone brands and it comes with a two year Singer warranty” he added.
End of last year Huawei Smartphones gained nearly a 23.08 percent market share in Sri Lanka Q4 according to IDC.
Huawei in Sri Lanka is marketed by the exclusive national distributor Singer Sri Lanka, and has obtained the number two market position within a very short span of time and is targeting to achieve the number one smartphone brand in the country.
