Virtusa Corporation announced the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) has recognized it for excellence with a coveted star in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and was recognized on the sub-list for Best Leaders in Employee Growth in the annual Global Outsourcing 100, for which Virtusa was named in the “leader” category.
The IAOP is the global standard-setting association and advocate for the outsourcing professional and the organizations they support.
“IAOP recognizing Virtusa not only for its excellence in outsourcing, but as being a leader in social responsibility and employee growth speaks to Virtusa’s focus on, and commitment to, overall corporate excellence,” said Harsha Kumar, senior vice president, Outsourcing Transformation Services, Virtusa. “We place a lot of emphasis on who we are and what we care about as a company and this mindset begins with who we recruit and hire to ensure we attract the best citizens to Virtusa.”
Each year, the IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 recognizes the world›s best outsourcing service providers. The lists are based on scores given by an independent judging panel on a range of criteria including global presence, growth, company recognition and certifications, customer references, programs for innovation and corporate social responsibility.
“Being honored by the IAOP for our excellence in sustainability and employee growth is a true endorsement for Virtusa’s approach as a company,” said Praveen Purushotham, global head of Marketing at Virtusa. “Young professionals today place a lot of emphasis on what their employer is doing to support sustainable business practices, as well as promoting workplace excellence and employee delight. Virtusa is proud to be recognized for the measures we have put in place to be a market leader in both areas.”
