Vijitha Yapa wins Gold for Best E-commerce Website

The Vijitha Yapa Group website www.vijithayapa.lk won the Gold award for the Best E -commerce Website in Sri Lanka at the 2015 BestWeb.lk awards presented by the LK domain registry.

Vijitha Yapa, Chairman of the Vijitha Yapa Group, received the award at a ceremony at the Kingsbury on Thursday night. The award was presented on behalf of the LK domain registry by Pradeep Moraes, Director, Indocean Developers (Pvt) Ltd. and Nishan Weerasooriya, Vice President, Group IT Operations of DFCC Bank PLC.

Accompanying Yapa was Chanaka Rodrigo, Deputy General Manager of Vijitha Yapa Bookshop and Dilin Alwis, of 3CS, the developer of the site.

BestWeb.lk is an annual contest organised by the LK domain registry to recognise the best Sri Lankan websites under a range of categories. The competition has played a key role in uplifting the standards of Sri Lankan websites.
