South Asia’s largest HR event, the National HR conference 2015 organised by Institute of Personal Management (IPM) Sri Lanka is expected to unfold on 16th and 17th June at the BMICH, Colombo. It will be held under the theme, ‘HR for National Prosperity, Insights, Initiatives and Implications’.
IPM that plays a significant role in developing Human Resource Management Profession in Sri Lanka, dedicates this year’s conference to educate the citizenry on the role played by ‘human resources’ in ushering national prosperity.
Addressing the Media Briefing held at HR House in Colombo, Rohitha Amarapala, President of IPM Sri Lanka said both public sector administrators and private sector managers have a crucial role to play in ushering a prosperous nation. “ This is more critical in the post-war Sri Lanka with accelerated development taking place in all fronts” he said.
Ajantha Dharmasiri Chairman of NHRS 2015 said, National HR Conference is going to be even bigger, better, and brighter this time as it is expected to feature a combination of eminent international and local speakers with private and public sector collaboration.
“A novel session lineup with more time for discussions will make the participants actively involved in the proceedings and I can assure all participants a refreshing difference” he added.
Further he revealed that there is less focus on the public sector HR and an over-emphasis on private sector as National HR conference intends to fill this void in a meaningful and memorable manner.
