With the aspiration to build a platform for participants to share and exchange ideas, experiences and key insights on a wide range of topics related to school education, the forum will gather teachers from leading national, international and private schools in Sri Lanka.
The three guest speakers, namely Teaching Hospital Karapitiya Galle Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr. Udena Attygalle, Ofsted inspector to the government of the United Kingdom Nicola Walsh and International Academy of Beauticians (Pvt.) Ltd Course Director Hasini Gunasekera, will speak on three different timely topics that will assist the participants to respond to the enormous challenges they face due to an increasingly complex society.
Dr. Attygalle will speak on ‘The common mental health issues in children and adolescents and how they impact education’, while Walsh and Gunasekara will speak on ‘Engaging all the students through excellence and enjoyment’ and ‘Good grooming practices and the effect of them on students and teaching’, respectively.  CIM SL Educational Services Manager Onalie Dissanayake sharing her views on the Teachers’ Forum said, “As an educational institute we feel it is important to organise forums of this nature for teachers to discuss and share their views on the issues and trends in new-age education.  I believe it will be an interesting and lively session as the issues and trends will be analysed from different perspectives.”
