The annual Royal-Thomian cricket matches scheduled to be held next month have been postponed until further notice after some players tested positive for COVID-19, the Daily Mirror learns.
The big match was scheduled for May 6, 7 and 8 in Hambantota followed by a T20 match.
Organizers said they had decided to postpone the annual cricket matches after some players tested positive for COVID-19 after being subjected to PCR tests.
A new date for the matches will be notified later.
Last year, several attendees of the big match were subjected to self-quarantine after a SriLankan Airlines first officer who attended the match tested positive for the virus.
