Six nabbed at BIA with forged visas

The CID arrested six people including three women who attempted to board a flight to Malaysia with forged visas were taken into custody at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday.


Among those arrested was a five year old boy and were residents from the Galle, Mallawi, Kantale, Colombo, Padukka, Anamaduwa and Vavuniya areas.

The two men who made the forged visas were also taken into custody several hours later and remanded after being produced before the Negombo Magistrate. The five year old boy was handed over to his father.
