UNP meets today for further planning

• Decisions on the party’s campaign expected to be made at this meeting

All organisers of the United National Party had been called for a meeting at the party headquarters Sirikotha today, sources said yesterday.

 They said Party Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and the UNF-led alliance candidate Sajith Premadasa were also expected to participate in the meeting.

“Decisions on the party’s campaign are expected to be made in this meeting,” sources said.

UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam earlier said the organisers would be called for a meeting today while a convention of the party would be held on October 3 at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

The inaugural rally will be held at the Galle Face Green on October 10, 2019.
