UNP-led political alliance Several SLFP MPs as electorate organisers

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MPs are to be appointed as electorate organizers in the proposed political alliance led by the United National Party (UNP) ahead of the upcoming presidential election.   


The UNP Working Committee which met on Wednesday decided to appoint SLFP MP Gamini Wijith Wijeyamuni Zoysa as organizer for the Katana electorate in the Gampaha district while SLFP MPs Piyasena Gamage, Manusha Nanayakkara and Lakshman Seneviratne are also to be appointed to similar posts.  


Meanwhile, Megapolis and Western Development Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka is tipped to be appointed as the organizer of the Maharagama electorate in the Colombo district.
