UK’s Trade Envoy Lord Mervyn Davies yesterday highlighted the impact of forced cremations of COVID-19 victims of Muslim and other communities with Sri Lanka.
He expressed these views during discussions held with High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom Ms. Saroja Sirisena.
The joint work on the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, strengthening diaspora links and justice and accountability were also taken into consideration during the discussion.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has welcomed the appointment of UK Trade Envoy Lord Mervyn Davies, the commitment to enhance bilateral trade & to develop multifaceted relationship in the post Brexit era, as sovereign states.
