The Sun moved directly over Sri Lanka on August 28 and will remain so till September 7 due to its southward motion, the Met Department said yesterday.
“Yesterday at about 12 noon it was overhead Nochchiyagama, Yalegama, Galkulama, Siyambalewa, Nitulgollewa and Verugal at about 12.10 noon,” it said.
