Several Ministers urge PM to step down

A few Cabinet Ministers are reported to have requested Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to step down from his office making way for President elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa to form a government in conformity with the mandate he received at the election.

According to informed sources, Ministers such as Rauff Hakeem, Mangala Samaraweera, Patali Champika Ranawaka and Navin Dissanayake requested the Prime Minister to resign from his office.
