Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa said yesterday he, as a member who served in the previous government, was ready to be held responsible as far as the Easter Sunday attack was concerned because it took place during its rule.

He said it is an insult to the victims of the Easter Sunday attack that the ministers and MPs of the previous government, which were responsible for the attack, have joined the Black Sunday protest.

“The Yahapalana government is fully responsible for the Easter Sunday attack. Ranil, Maithri and everyone who was a cabinet minister in that government should be responsible for it. Not only that, the members of the minority parties who supported the Yahapalana should also be held responsible,” the minister said at a meeting held at the Udugampola.
