Speaker Karu Jayasuriya yesterday confirmed that MP Ranjan Ramanayake had not handed over any CDs containing phone conversations to Parliament.
Responding to a question raised by Government MP Nimal Lansa in Parliament, the Speaker said Mr Ramanayake had handed over the CDs while the Secretary General of the House had provided a receipt together with a note.
Mr Lansa warned that Mr Ramanayake might use the receipt given to him to prove his activity in courts.
