The Women & Child Affairs and Social Security Ministry has instructed all pre-schools to close from yesterday until further notice.

The decision was taken on a request by Health Minister Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among children.
The ministry has advised all provincial Chief Secretaries to direct the pre-schools to begin their first-term holidays from yesterday.
