  • The appointment letter signed by Secretary to the President was sent to Mr. Perera on February 23

Retired Major General Sumedha Perera, who had resigned from the post of Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture recently, was offered the post of Secretary to the Ministry of Wildlife and Forest Conservation.   

 

However, it is learnt that Major General Perera did not accept the post citing personal reasons.   The appointment letter which was signed by Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundara was sent to Mr. Perera on February 23.
