The police intelligence service recently arrested two more members who had been trained by the National Tawheed Jamaat (NTJ) which masterminded the Easter Sunday attacks. The arrests were made in Ampara on a tip off.

Police said the suspects had undergone military training under the NTJ in its secretive camps in Nuwara Eliya.

One suspect, Mohamed Zahir Mohamed, is a resident of Muruthagahamula in Gelioya. He attended training sessions led by NTJ leader Zahran Hashim. After training, his nom de guerre was Abu Amara.

The other suspect, Mohamed Avuthan Aneez Mohamed, is a resident of Galle. He had been called Abu Zuhair following training.
