The Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar yesterday issued an arrest warrant on P.  Weerasinghe, the Secretary of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) which is probing into incidents of political victimization during the tenure of the previous yahapalanaya government.

The arrest warrant was issued based on her failure to appear in Court during the hearing.
The PCoI was appointed to probe incidents of political victimisation against eight defendants including Niraj Roshan alias Ali Roshan.  Summons was served on the PCoI Secretary to appear in court yesterday to clarify matters pertaining to the case file against Ali Roshan and seven others.
However, issuing a notice the Commission informed that naming its Secretary as a witness in the case or issuing summons was unacceptable.
