No SLFP support to UNP whatsoever

• SLFP would field a separate candidate for the presidential election if the present discussions between two parties end in failure
• A senior SLFP spokesman said that SLFP has put forward several policy matters for working together, and there is no barrier if SLPP is in agreement

 Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided that under no circumstances it would support the UNP or its presidential candidate, the party sources said.   

 According to the sources, the Presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) will receive the support if bilateral discussions become successful.   

It is learnt that SLFP would field a separate candidate for the presidential election if the present discussions between two parties end in failure.   

A senior SLFP spokesman said that SLFP has put forward several policy matters for working together, and there is no barrier if SLPP is in agreement.
