Nearly 800 COVID-19 cases identified from Police cluster

The total number of COVID-19 patients reported from the Police Department increased to 785 by yesterday. 

It is reported that 191 personnel of the Special Task Force (STF) of Police were also among those identified patients. 


In addition, 122 police officers at Fort Police Station contracted with COVID-19 and 64 officers tested positive with the virus from Colombo Crimes Division. 90 officers from Borella Police Station, 24 from Grandpass Police and 10 officers from Dam Street Police Station were also among those identified patients. 


Meanwhile, a police officer at Peradeniya Police Station was also identified as a COVID-19 patient.
