 Buddhist devotees in Sri Lanka were seen observing religious observances at the Hunupitiya Gangarama Temple yesterday to coincide with Duruthu Full Moon Poya. This is a key religious and historic day in the Sri Lankan calendar as it marks Gautama Buddha’s first visit to Sri Lanka on the ninth month after attaining Enlightenment.
