Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella requested Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane to allow MP Rishad Bathiudeen to attend Parliament next week.
MP Bathiudeen is held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act for 90 days to be interrogated regarding the allegation that he aided and abeited Easter Sunday suicide bombers. Mr. Kiriella said Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane acceded to his request.
