Italian tourist drowns in sea off Dickwella

A 45-year-old Italian tourist drowned while bathing in the sea off Dickwella on Sunday night, police said.

The victim had been rescued by the people in the area who was rushed to the Dickwella Hospital.

He was however pronounced dead on admission.

Dikwella Police are conducting further inquiries.
