Higher Education Minister Bandula Gunawardane said yesterday that medical equipment available with the university system would be handed over to the health authorities for improving RT-PCR testing capacity.
Sri Lanka Medical Association has requested the government to increase RT-PCR testing capacity to detect people infected with COVID-19.
The Minister said some machines were available with the medical faculties. “We will hand them over to the health authorities for testing,” he said.
