Floral tribute to father of the nation

Late Prime Minister D.S. Senanayake, the Father of the Nation, was offered floral tribute at his statue at the Independence Square yesterday to mark the 73rd Independence Day celebrations. Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister Gamini Lokuge, Former Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene, UNP General Secretary Palitha Ranga Bandara Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake and other invitees paid floral tribute to the late Premier’s statue.
