Facilitate production of ‘monitoring bracelet’: PM

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has instructed the relevant officials to facilitate the production of a high quality bracelet which can monitor people in quarantine, the Prime Minister’s Media Division said.  

The monitoring device which has been manufactured by Amila Sameera Ratnayaka to monitor persons who are in quarantine, was presented to Prime Minister Rajapaksa yesterday.   
Mr. Ratnayaka who is a resident of Pannipitiya, said the device can be used as a bracelet to monitor people who are being quarantined.   
The Premier also instructed the officials to provide necessary guidance to Mr. Ratnayake in obtaining a patent license for the product.   
Steps were also taken to showcase the product to Army Commander Shavendra Silva.
