Expedite release of private lands: NP Governor

He has made this request during a discussion held with Jaffna Security Forces Commander Major General Dharsana Hettiarachchi.   

 Major General Hettiarachchi had explained to the Governor the present security situation in Jaffna and the steps taken by Security Forces to establish reconciliation in the area. He had also pointed out that a large number of private lands had already been released to their original owners under the programme of President’s National Reconciliation. The governor had instructed to take steps to provide alternative lands to the land owners if there is any problem in releasing lands. Recently 19 acres of lands have been released in Thelippali area. Major General Dharsana Hettiarachchi has handed over the relevant documents to District Secretary of Jaffna.
