Two police constables on special duty in Kandy were arrested by the Kandy Police Women and Children’s Bureau on suspicion of having sexually harassed two teenagers. 

They were on special duty in Kandy and arrested on a complaint made by the girls’ mother.   
The suspects were produced before Kandy Additional Magistrate Iresha De Silva and remanded till today.  


Women and Children’s Bureau OIC WIP Sumitra De Silva and Kandy Police HQI Chief Inspector  Sanjeewa Mahanma are conducting investigations on the instructions of SSP T. Tennakoon and DIG D.L. Ranaweera.
