The Ethical Committee of the Rajarata University has granted ethical clearance to the anti-COVID-19 syrup introduced by Ayurvedic practitioner Dhammika Bandara from Kegalle, Ayurveda Commissioner Mr K.D.C.S. Kumaratunga said.
The University will proceed with clinical testing following ethical approval.
Earlier, the Pharmacological Unit of the Sri Lanka Ayurveda Department had approved the syrup as a local medicine.
