A Chinese national attached to the Colombo Port City project receives the jab of Sinopharm vaccine. The health authorities started vaccination of Chinese nationals living in Sri Lanka using a part of the consignment of 600,000 doses donated by China. There are around 4,000 Chinese nationals living in Sri Lanka. The National Medicines Regulatory Authority is yet to give clearance for the use of this vaccine on Sri Lankan nationals.
