A showery and windy condition is expected to enhance temporarily from today ending a period of dry weather, the Department of Meteorology said yesterday.
Several spells of showers are expected in the Eastern, Central and Uva Provinces and in Hambantota, Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu Districts. Showers or thundershowers are also expected to occur at a few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts during the afternoon.
Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the Northern, Eastern, North-Central and Southern Provinces and in the Moneragala District.
