Calls for his resignation I will decide only after consulting my people

Amidst calls for his resignation, Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hisbullah met with President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday and informed him that he would take a decision on his future only after consulting his community. 
 
Western Province Governor Asath Salley and Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen also called on the President separately yesterday.  
Mr. Hisbullah told Daily Mirror that he did not resign yesterday despite rumours circulating that he had. “I met the President. I have not resigned. I told him that I will decide only after consulting my community,” he said.   

Western Province Governor Asath Salley and Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen also called on the President separately yesterday.
