Three suspects including notorious underworld gangster Sanka Shirantha, alias Bloemendhal Sanka are reported to have been arrested in Tamil Nadu, India.
It was reported that Bloemendhal Sanka and Safras Mohamed and another Indian national were among the arrested.
The Tamil Nadu media reported that the TN Police arrested the suspects on charges of illegally staying in India violating visa conditions, when they were approaching by the Rameshwaram Harbour in a boat.
STF Commandant Senior DIG M.R Latiff said they were aware of the arrest through the Tamil Nadu Media.
‘Bloemendhal Sanka’ was reported to have fled to India after a shooting incident in Grandpass in December last year in which a 32-year-old man was killed and three others were injured outside the Henamulla Housing Scheme.
