    Very creative cartoon by Chikera. Tells all on International Women’s Day. In the US the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution was passed by the Congress in 1972. It has still not been ratified by enough States to become law. It took 100 years for women to gain their right to vote. Sure, Sri Lanka can claim some bragging rights on paper. But it is just that. On paper only.
