A batch of rehabilitated LTTE cadres are seen here on tour in the south of the country. The tour titled "Thal ruppawen Pol ruppawata" was organised by the Youth Affairs and Skills Development Ministry under the patronage of Minister Dallas Allahapperuma. UPFA parliamentarian and former national cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya participated in a softball cricket match with the former cadres as a part of the tour.

I really appreciate what Gvt is trying to do , well done MR, Before I had a very negative opinion about MR, but now as a Srilankan Tamil living in abroad I have changed my opinion after seeing SriLanka post war development.

I strongly Support to MR govt and our parents will vote for MR in forcoming local election in Colombo

(GOSL) Sri Lanka should be commended for the rehabilitation of former terrorist cadres. In most countries they would either have been killed or would have been languishing in prisons for the rest of their lives. The humane & sympathetic approach enacted the by the government should be appreciated by friend or foe alike.

I too agree with the previous comment about the good work being done by the government. In order to ensure a good, lasting and positive legacy, nepotism, croonyism, corruption, thuggery and the like need to be weeded out too.

I am glad that they are being rehabilated and accepted as normal citizens. I presumed that they will be interrogated like the western countries do. If the government starts to think like this, I feel that these differences can be mended very soon. I am not happy about what happened to Tamils, but we cannot live in the past, lets move forward strongly as a nation.
