Colombo Fort and the Gampaha railway stations were seen deserted due to the ongoing island wide token strike launched by eleven Trade Unions. The Railway services countrywide came to a standstill from midnight yesterday. Pix by Kushan Pathiraja

    So why don't they deploy the armed forces to run the services? I know it doesn't set a good example but at least it will show the people concerned that we can move forward.
