Our children our just idling at SAITM without a teaching hospital for clinicals. There is lot more to do before Dr. Neville Fernando's hospital could be in operation.

This is the level of intellectuals in Sri Lanka. Shamelessly trying to deny others the opportunity to get an education that had benefited them

Should kick out those who are opposing another brave child education.... who has taken more marks in the A/L exam and could not enter the university due to the entrance marks barrier..........

you do not understand the fundamental problem , it is not about right to education, it is about class, power and prestige bought for money , in the name of right for education. even if you are a millionaire , and want to be a doctor, you need to fulfill certain criteria to be admitted to a medical school. mmoney cannot buy that. so shut up or learn
cheers

No for Private Universities, But Yes for private practices. It is a joke. Theyare worry about about their job security and job demand rather than the free education.

Class, Power & Prestige? What a gonnamba! Money cannot buy the degree. It can only get them entry into a private medical school (and NOT state universities) and even then there would be a minimum entry requirement, and possibly even foundation courses and additional years compared to regular university students. Once they gain entry millionaires cash mean nothing because they MUST go through the years for tests & training according to a set standard. Eventually there are going to be many Private Medical Schools in Sri Lanka whether you gonnambas' like it or not...
