Dear sons and daughters, You all are from affluent colleges from Colombo. Those who are forced into child labour are not blessed like you, they don't have the luck of enjoying super education like you all in good colleges. Today you march along the Colombo streets and tomorrow you will forget about it until this day next year. You all have been dragged into these by those who want to be highlighted at the cost of your sweat. Please do something useful and constructive for those unfortunate children who are being forced into child labour. Force your superiors, your parents, your elders to do something worthwhile for them rather than just wasting your time on streets. Initiate your own efforts towards that noble objective saving your own brothers and sisters from the clutches of forced labour.

Child labour is due to poverty. Unless you effectively tackle poverty these 'walks' are cosmetic.
