The Consumer Affairs Authority today recovered 41,000 kilogrammes of rotten garlic which were on sale at the Dambulla Economic Centre. The Ministry of Internal Trade and Cooperatives said the consignment was completely rotten and is said to be worth Rs 3.5 million. Set up a Consumer Protection Authority at the customs and Sri Lanka's boarder protection. Don't let rotten garlic and onions, and of course dead importantly sub-standard oil (CPC) that killed so many vehicles in the country.
