Gamini was definitely a statesman though at times was a 'puppet' of the Indians and RAW agency.

If not for the untimely demise, the SL politica landscape must have been quite different today.

Its a shame to see his children are bending into Rajapakshas who is nothing compared to the great man.

kalua,u r correct,v saw the educated n experience politicians joint to gather,but they didn't allow them to live n make the nation to gather,gamini n lalith both are greats.

Chamal is the only person, who could be filtered from the Rajapakse family. But still I don't accept the son of a great hero to bend anyone from the Rajapakse familiy.

Apart from his other achievements as a great politician, Gamini will always be remembered as long as there is SL cricket! Sadly his children are not of his caliber. Shame
