Met department warns

Department of Meteorology warned of strong winds in the South of the country during the coming days. A spokesman from the department said speed of the winds could be as high as 80 miles per hour.

Department also said the low level depression that affected the South West Part of the country also still remains. The highest rainfall of 30.3mm was recorded from the Hambantota District while  Ratnapura received a rain fall of 25.6, Colombo received 16.6 mm rainfall while   Katunayaqke received 25.5 mm during the 24 hours ended at 8pm (Yohan Perera)
