The government has launched a project to build houses for 819 people who are currently living in illegal housing structures, at a cost Rs. 55 million. Seen here are some of the beneficiaries at the launch of the project. Pics by Kithsiri De Mel
How much money did we spend to sponsor our enormous delegation to UN (Rs. 500 M)? How much money did we spend on Indian Film star festival (Rs. 800M) ? How much money do we spend each time we have an election (Rs. 500M)? And here we are spending what? Rs. 55 M. Are we really serious on building these people houses????

Interesting facts. From this allocated 55Mn, how much will really go in to build and how much will go in to pockets of others.

These 819 Recipients. Are they from the same locality? If so, probably the majority of them are Govt party supporters.
