Many scientific discoveries (Quantum physics, evolution, big bang theory) are compatible with Buddhism,
So there's a lot of interest in Buddhism in west,
Pity that although there are lot of Buddhists in Sri Lanka ,very few follow the correct path
Uresh Friday, 14 September 2012 10:36 AM
The most of those who take the correct path of Load Buddah's teachings of Dhamma in the present context are the educated Westerners.

Not all Sri Lankans lives the way of Buddha. If all follow the way of Buddha, there won't be crimes such as murder, child abuse, and sex related crimes..... At least these two westerners are willing to learn the way of Buddha, that has to be appreciated. But sad thing is that we Sri Lankans have forgotten the basic values of human lives at times..........

Is anyone force them to convert to Buddhism? No right? They understood truth and what they need for their lives and ordained as Bhikkunis . I hate some religious groups and people force convert to their religious. I hate them…

I fail to undersand the mentality of the people here, who gives a "thumbs down" to any comment about these Bikkunis. They must have very warped minds or musa be completely stupid.

no one converts anyone forcefully, just go to youtube and check how people embrace difference religions willingly like these 2 ladies!

Buddhism is not a religion, it's a philosophy, Uncle Albert got it wrong, you got it totally wrong, Buddhism preaches atheism indirectly, it says your mind is the supreme power and there is no supreme power beyond your mind. Buddha never claimed divinity and Buddhism never preached divinity! Modern Science has nothing to do with Buddhism!
