The residents including children of Henmulla Nawa Niwasa Watte and the Kajima Watte on Ferguson Road are seen outside their demolished houses.

The unauthorized houses in the area were yesterday demolished by the Urban Development Authority (UDA) after it had issued several quit notices. The demolishing was carried amidst objections being raised by the residents. Pix by Kushan Pathiraja

So sad to see the innocent kids and their belongings. When president returns from Germany with a lot of goodies, he will make sure that these people will be given some houses either in Colombo or Polonnaruwa.
